About us

We are These Days, a contemporary communications agency. We create deep relations between brands and their customers.

Not by forcing our foot through the door (you can’t get past the videophone anyhow these days). But by continously and genuinely listening to (your) consumers. By looking at what makes them tick. Or by learning how your brand and product can be of added value in their lives. And finding out where we can reach them in a scattered media world. All this in order to create campaigns which reward customers for their time spent. Leading to an audience that is much more open an receptive for a dialogue with your brand.
In most cases interactivity is the solid backbone of our solutions, reinforced by the right media mix across all channels (radio, print, film, ambient, POS, websites, blogs, games, mobile media,...). As much as we are strategic and creative (and awardwinning) thinkers, we are also extremely result-driven.

These Days is part of the Wunderman network and thus is actively cooperating, rolling out campaigns and exchanging knowledge with dozens of other agencies in 4 continents.
Our offices in Antwerp and Amsterdam are multicultural breeding grounds for the talents of over 80 passionate communication afficionado’s (with backgrounds in advertising agencies, new media, design, video,…). Together we serve an impressive scala of national and international clients, leading from mobile phones to bananas.

These days, with one certain rule being there are no rules anymore, we feel there has never been a more exciting time to be in advertising. So hop on, challenge us and see what we can do for you.

Land Rover

Media: Radio, Newspaper Insert, Print Ads, POS

Land Rovers 2008 Brussels Motors Show campaign included documentary style radio commercials, a newspaper insert and dealer communication. We mixed luxury with adventure, by going for a quest to find one of earths most delicious treasures: the truffle (in the meantime showing off Landrovers own treasures).

Mobistar - World Championship of BlaBla

Media: Radio, Internet, POS, Street

Freefriends is a tariff plan from Belgiums mobile phone operator Mobistar. It targetted friends who call each other a lot. To launch the tariff, we started a quest to find two buddies who would hold the longest call between two friends ever. It led to an unbelievable 9 hour live call on national radio.

Tele Atlas - McGuider

Media: Product naming, Video, Internet, POS

Tele Atlas creates maps for gps devices (but also for Google Maps, Via Michelin, ...). Together with Sygic they launched an application that turns your mobile phone into a gps. It's the swiss knife of the urban jungle. So who better to promote it than John McGuider, expert in easy survival. In fact we gave him his own Survival Show.

Wim Tellier – Protect 7-7

Media: Online Experience & Shop

Wim Tellier is an artist with a mission. He wandered the world and ended up on the 7th continent, Antarctica. It resulted in a gigantic photograph where the dreams of children are delicately woven into the legacy of past generations. The website, featuring an original music score, submerges you into a contemplative experience. All images can be bought, and part of the profit is donated to a good cause. Protect 7-7 is an ode to the Earth, to life, to people. But as usual, it lets the pictures do all the talking.

Nokia - Jealous Computers

Media: Video, Internet, POS, Posters, ...

The Nokia N95. It's what computers have become. That's why these computers showed their teeth in this absurd word-of-mouth campaign.

Pioneer Kuro

Pioneer Kuro

Media: Banners, Website, Microsite

The Pioneer flatscreen range is called Kuro, which means black in Japanese. Because these television sets reach a deeper black level than ever before, they manage to portray the most intense colours. We took care of the European interactive launch.

Nokia Wensen

Nokia - Picture Poetry

Media: Website, e-mail

To give people an alternative to the everyday Christmas cards and promote Nokia's camera phones, we created 'Picture Poetry'. Visitors can submit their poem or wish and it'll be converted word by word into a visual poem, which you can send to a friend.

For this project we took over 7000 pictures of (mainly Dutch and French) words which can be found in the street in various Belgian cities and Paris.

Microsoft

Microsoft

Media: Online media

The Windows Live Mobile team from Microsoft EMEA wanted a pan-european platform to promote their mobile products, capable of involving the visitor and allowing the visitor to send himself an SMS with a direct link to the mobile suite, tailored to their current operator and mobile phone model.  The site has been build using dynamic DotNet technology and spearheads and integrates Silverlight in innovative ways, and is dynamically generated from a DotNet Content Platform. The platform allows each of the 20 countries to adapt the content and images of the pages in their own language using a central CMS, and is expandable to allow future mobile services to be supported.

Chiquita

Media: Microsite, Banners,

Chiquita has obtained a Rainforest Alliance certificate because they grow their bananas with respect for their employees and the environment (= pay more than average, built houses for their employees, planted over 800.000 trees,...). To make people understand this, we created a SIMS-like game in which they have to run their own plantation and grow their own bananas just like Chiquita does. When playing this game it only takes 5 minutes to convince people Chiquita is not neglecting its social responsibility. And on top of that it's fun to grow stuff, with some players spending over 280 hours game play in one month!
